Come and have a sing-song.

If you'd like help extending your range, troubleshooting any issues in your technique, performance coaching, or learning and developing new vocal qualities in order to approach a broader repertoire, I'm the coach for you.

Performing can be PROPERLY terrifying. Whether that's 8 times a week in a show, or every now and then at the local open mic night. Gaining an understanding of what's going on in there when we're singing can help HUGELY. And this is where I come in. I will help you sort the technique, before advising on interpretation and helping to develop your vocal artistry. Then BOOM! We've got ourselves a performance.

Having trained at the Royal Academy of Music under Mary Hammond, Anne-Marie Speed, and Sam Kenyon, I have a solid background in the Estill model, as well as classical training throughout my undergraduate degree. I also hold an MA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. For further training and credentials and impressive CV type stuff, please click right here

My focus is always on coaching healthy and efficient voice use across a broad range of vocal styles and repertoires, designed to suit you.

My back catalogue of work has been diverse; I have coached classical singers, pop singers, musical theatre performers, folk artists, and I work regularly with actors on their singing voices. I have done a huge amount of work in the Musical Theatre genre, working on both professional productions and within the drama school setting (Urdang Academy, AMTA, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Bristol Old Vic, Oxford School of Drama as well as continued work with graduates from East 15 and RADA).

So if you want to find or develop the classical side of your voice, or if you have an audition for a musical theatre piece, or are a developing commercial pop artist finding your own authentic sound, give me a buzz. No matter your current standard or goals, I'd love to help.

How it works

My lessons are truly bespoke. I see each new student for a one-off consultation lesson in which we can have an initial discussion to spec out your requirements, and so that you can decide if I'm the coach for you. (I'm pretty certain I am, by the way.)

This session is also an opportunity for me to hear a bit of you, find out about you and what you're wanting to achieve, so that I can develop a personalised curriculum tailored to your voice and your goals. We'll probably also have a cuppa.

Louisa skilfully tailors the content of her lessons to match the student’s expertise ... she has a knack of explaining new concepts simply and effectively.

Her broad knowledge allows her to draw upon a wealth of exercises in order to achieve the objective, based on both the desires of the student, and on her excellent diagnostic skills.

I leave each lesson feeling like I’ve learnt a great deal; I would highly recommend her for voice users of any ability.
